Take a drive out to picturesque Richmond, in the Hawkesbury Region of NSW, and you will find Kurrajong Interiors located in a gorgeous Georgian building, that dates back to the early 1800s.
The building has always been a store of some description, as many older locals can attest to. Whether it’s remembering their grandparents owning one of the shops, having grown up in the apartment on the second floor, or hiding down in the brick cellar during air raids in the war, the building has many an interesting story to tell.
Proprietor, Suzanne Dewhurst, began the business about 7 years ago. Initially operating as an Interior Designer and colour consultant, then expanding into homewares sold through party-plan, then the first retail shop in Richmond, then moving into the current, much larger shop, in late 2005.
Just over an hour drive northwest of Sydney.
